#inspiration 02: Barbara Kruger

and once you enjoy her works, you'll know how bad our lives have been saturated with irony, been controlled with unfair power, how women are being mere objects, and how we are all alienated!
Barbara Kruger is now my most favorite designer. Knew her name from a random essay i read about Tibor Kalman for my Graphic Design History final project. Instead of making a tribute for Tibor Kalman, my team decided to make a tribute to Barbara Kruger. yay. :D
her works may seem simple, but they all have deep, very deep meaning with the black and white photograph and aggresive words using Futura Bold. her works mostly talk about feminism, consumerism, stereotypes, and power. she's inspired by Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault, or even Karl Marx. super cool, eh?
